We've had some great adventures this spring, and it's about time I post an update here to tell about them.
A FLOOD
First, our crawl space flooded -- yikes! -- causing quite a bit of damage under the house. It was about a two-month ordeal to get it all dried up, get it resealed, and repair the damage to the house (which thankfully was minimal). When it came time to reseal the wood under the house, we were sent to a hotel for two nights so we could escape the fumes. Desmond was exhausted, but he had a great time anyway.

A VISIT TO WALLA WALLA
Part of the reason Desmond was so exhausted was that we'd just returned from a long weekend in Walla Walla. We went to celebrate Mother's Day with Mom and to visit Dad. Here are a few highlights.
Book time with Aunt Andrea and Cousin Katie
Breakfast time at Grandma Mary's
But the big highlight was our long bike ride around Walla Walla, with a stop at Pioneer Park. As you can see, Desmond and Grandpa John were having a great time with the water fountain.
A LITTLE YARD WORK
Our back yard need some help, so Dad and George came to town to help us plant some grass and put in vegetable boxes.
Wet dirt + weak tiller = tough job

CAMPING IN THE GORGE
Over Memorial Day weekend we took Desmond on his first camping trip! In short, it was a blast. Aunt Carolyn made the arrangements, and we met her and George at Maryhill State Park. Teresa and Luis also joined us for a night.
Desmond loved to "throw...rocks...in...water"
