Last weekend we drove out to Sauvie Island for a visit to the Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maize. The weather was beautiful! We've had dry, sunny weather here longer than we should ever dare hope for a Portland autumn -- and we're in for more of it!
We couldn't quite get Molly to put her little face through the hole for this picture.
We got pretty good and lost in the maze, just like last year. Pro tip: They would warn you about strollers if you
had to cross the bridge. (Don't cross the bridge.)

Molly says, "Don't cross the bridge."

"DON'T CROSS THE BRIDGE!"
We made it halfway through the maze, and after a brief deliberation decided not to complete the second half.
|
Even Little Rabbit got to go through the maze
Next we headed to the hay pyramid.

A trip to the pumpkin patch is not complete without a ride on the cow train. Desmond happily rode by himself!
Here are some other random pics from our day on the farm...

We discovered that Molly really likes corn on the cob
And finally, this is the crazy traffic jam that spanned almost the entire island. It stretched from the Pumpkin Patch to the Sauvie Island Bridge almost 3 miles away. Turns out there is literally
one way on and off the island by car.
When my mom was born, my grandparents caught the last ferry off the island to head into Portland. At least there is a bridge now. ;)
